Many South Africans in the current recession, job losses. The Credit Bureau undertakes to help consumers. It depends however on the following conditions.
- The default had occurred due to circumstances beyond the consumer’s control, such as a dismissal.
-The Ombudsman will investigate a consumer’s payment records for the dismissal.
-The consumer must give the ombudsman’s office show that the credit provider has been informed about his dismissal.
-The office will determine if alternative payment arrangements have been implemented and whether it met the consumer.
-Finally, the consumer to the Ombudsman must verify that the debt is fully repaid.
